THE GREAT DEATH

A sudden awakening is associated with a complete dissolution of the self. The death of self is an "experience" that will change a person's life forever. In contrast to the death of the Ego, which initiates a more intense exploration of the soul, self-reflection and the search for a deeper meaning and purpose of existence, the death of the self transcends all boundaries, enabling the comprehensive realization of Reality and the immediate absorption of all answers.

Seshin is performed in silence and includes zazen, kinhin and mondo.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Registration - no entry without prior registration

• Punctuality - arrive 10 - 15' before the start of the practice to prepare in peace; the door is locked 5' before the start of the Sesshin and late practitioners cannot enter

• Skillful communication – silence at all times, no idle talk, posing questions only during Mondo, or after Sesshin
