That is a hard comment, difficult to face, difficult to accept. It puts the onus on me for resolving any relationship problem.

Your only responsibility considers your own thoughts, actions, and emotions. When it comes to relationship problems the responsibility lies on both sides. Relationship problem is never unilateral, so resolving it cannot be unilateral either.
